Astral Mining Corporation’s exploration team is focused on identifying high-potential gold and silver deposits in politically stable, mining friendly districts of Canada and the USA.

Astral has discovered a high-grade gold zone on its Jumping Josephine property in British Columbia's prolific Rossland mining district and has completed its first two drill programs there. Drilling will resume on this flagship property in Spring 2008. Also in Southern BC is the 6,500 hectare Chenier Copper-Gold Property. It has several promising mineralized zones characteristic of the higher levels of an alkalic porphyry copper-gold system. Drilling at Chenier is also planned for 2008.

Drill programs are running at the Saluda Gold/Copper Project in South Carolina and the Bear Creek Gold Project in North Carolina. Both projects lay within the mineral-rich Carolina Slate Belt. Unknown to many is that the historic gold fields of the Carolinas were home to America’s first gold rushes and modern scientific exploration is now finding exciting new opportunities there. Astral also controls seven properties in Nevada, six of which are located along the prolific Carlin, Battle Mountain or Walker Lane Trends.
