Tumi is a well-financed Vancouver-based mineral exploration company, with management comprising highly experienced accounting, financial, geological, mining engineering and public relations personnel. The Company is a silver explorer with 17 projects in Sweden and a further 8 in Mexico. The year 2008 promises to be a busy exploration year with several drill and other work programs planned or already underway.
Tumi’s initial focus was Mexico, the world’s biggest silver producer, where Tumi is continuing advanced exploration to expand the historic La Trini mineralization. An updated resource calculation is being prepared.
Research for new silver projects led Tumi to the Bergslagen District of south-central Sweden, one of the most important mining areas of Europe. Tumi is now a major claim holder in this region. Properties there include the historic Sala silver mine, which operated for more than 440 years and produced some 200 million ounces of silver and reportedly had some of the richest silver grades in the world. Tumi is currently drilling a target immediately to the west of the old mine. The Bergslagen projects will be a major focus for Tumi during the coming months.
