Re: Socrates and why Subscribe - The Markets - Day Trading this Week - Points to Ponder
Why subscribe to our Paid-for “From the Desk of Nick Nicolaas” letter
We are privy to the Martin Armstrong Socrates Trader Level Preview and we give our Paid-for subscribers heads-up in advance of event occurring in the Markets based on the Socrates (SOC) Preview signals and forecasts.
I received several questions from our Free of Charge FDNN letter readers who asked me Questions like this:
I can't make up what Armstrong thinks about gold - does he see a bottom in 2017 or in 2018?
I answered them as follows:
Yes that is an excellent question: What is Marty's opinion with regard THE Gold bottom - - is it in 2017 or in 2018?
Marty’s opinion during the last few months of 2017 was that THE low could be in by the end of the 1st Quarter of 2017 however, he always qualified that statement by saying “But, to be sure we first have to see the year-end numbers”.
We did see the year-end numbers indicated that THE bottom in Gold was now delayed to sometime between now and 2018. In other words THE bottom should occur sometime this year or in the early part of 2018.
We, as experienced Market Players, know that there will be ups and downs in all the Markets. All that Marty has done is given us a heads-up and according to his opinion, there still is a LOW to come in Gold by 2018.
Therefore, we have taking Marty’s OPINION and stored it behinds our eyes for use between now and the first part of 2018 and when or if THE low occurs we will take advantage of it and buy at a time when 95% or more of investors will be leaving the Gold Market and are selling (at the wrong time).
Our above answer is the kind of in-time heads-up you will need in the years to come to benefit your trading decisions and maximize your Return of Investment (ROI). - - - that is why you should subscribe to our Paid-for FDNN letter HERE.
The Markets Moving Forward
During the past week both the Investors Level and the Trader Level Preview encountered glitches. Whereas, our opinions are based and rely on these SOC signals and forecasts we cannot give you any heads-up in the Markets for this coming week.
Sorry but - - - C’est la Vie!
Day Trading this Week
Post year-end trading Martin Armstrong stated that we finished the year at resistance in the Nasdaq and based on that statement by Marty and because, we can’t win them all, we decided to take a loss as soon as we could on Tuesday January 3, 2017 and sold our Nasdaq Call Options expiring March 17, 2017.
Whereas, we expect the Dow, S&P and Nasdaq to perform very well in the long-term we will at some time in the future enter those Option trades again.
We only made a few profitable Day Trades this past week for the reasons as noted in the Markets Moving Forward in the section above.
Points to Ponder
1) Although we total rely on the Socrates Forecasts and Alerts and Martin Armstrong’s interpretation thereof, we continually read the John Mauldin essays and on January 3rd John added the “Connecting the Dots” essay by Patrick Watson entitled “Trump’s Year of Living Locally”.
Patrick Watson is the editor of Mauldin Economics’ high-yield income letter and certainly knows how to connect the dots. You can read Patrick’s essay HERE
Localism is certainly gaining momentum and considering its implications we must consider new approaches as we move into the future.
2) A Question to Martin Armstrong regarding the US 401K
This was MA’s Reply to that Question: “Yes – here they come. It’s April 16, 2017. I recommend the self-directed brokerage account. This will be critical. They will not reform and they cannot keep this game moving. What they are doing will destroy those who have valid 401K plans to benefit government workers who are foolish enough to believe government in the first place.”
You can read the full 401K Question and Reply HERE.
Government is not there to help us but, MA certainly does help us.
